Truly Customise Weapons - add individuality!!
I have 3 Characters, an elementalist, a warrior and a monk all level 20. I have the usual suspects as weapons with a high degree of modification. My whinge is that so has everyone else aaarrrgh.
Why not make weapons more customisable? We already have the npc there to customise but all he does is give 20% extra damage... he could do so much more for the game and for us.
Why not give us the ability to dye the individual modifications, have a wrapping of fortitude in green and the insightful head in red. Come to think of it why not let us see a graphical representation that a modification has been made?
A 3 dimensional view of the weapon similar to our character view in the inventory would be nice too...
Why are we able to add the modifications ourselves, I can't remember my warrior training as a blacksmith; so why not make us pay the npc to add the modifications for us? The better it is the more it will cost? - Possible gold sink.
And the thing I really want is the ability to construct my finished weapon and have the ability to name it. Once named it would be impossible to add/remove mods.... I just really want to name my crystaline sword delilah..
I doubt this will get any replies, but I beg you please if you have any ideas to customise weapons and make us all individuals then post them here.
Thanks anyway

I agree with you -ish. It would be nice to have it customized a bit more but the weapons are so small and there are so many types so whats the use?
However one thing I would like to do is be able to add extra individual bits onto armour like spikes, badges, studs and whatnot.
I won't say anymore though on that because it's kinda taking over your original post.

If anyone ever played Kal Online they know this, there were Attack Talisman that would raise your maxium attack by a certain amount. But there was a chance that it can fail and either break your weapon/reduce endurance (and when it hit 0 your weapon breaks). I would like to see that type of customizations also.

Just a few things, not disagreeing just saying...
the more customization options, the worse off many connections will be with increase lag and such..
Also, I don't know of any game where crafting isn't a total drag.. I like how it's quick and easy in GW and you don't have a 50% chance of failing and losing your +30 hp mod..

No please continue, I'm intrigued..
Overall I just want to make my character an individual, we all know that there are a reasonable amount of weapons choice, but everyone always has the same.. and in some cases the differernce between one and another is negligable.. wands for example are pretty much all the same.
Also seeing that weapons are so expensive and people see them as such an important part of the game, why not just give us a better view of them. A 3D rotational view in the trade window would rock.

I have Dick Justice equipped, and an eternal shield!
It's no use nameing your weapon if nobody can see it, but then again, if everyone can see it, you can expect kids to give their weapons stupid names (see above example).
Also, pretty much all the W/Mo's out there will call their sword excalibur or gunblade. I just know it.
